CCS 2400kt What Did I Buy?

Received 2400 last Friday, put a 250 tin Cros, 14.3 pointed through over the weekend. 2400 is stock 22, 18in bbl, std front site to protect the crown.
Paid I believe best I can remember, $82.50 + $18.39 s&h ( my M4-177 bought from Wally $84 + tax, cost more ). Double boxed egg crate foam. Opened all materials has certificate of authenticity, instructions etc. Instructions are essentially for a 2240 too bad they aren't for the 2400.
Inspection std 16in pull carbine stock, steel breech, 18in bbl, std front sight. Everything looked good to me. Mounted an UTG/Leapers 4x-32 scope. The scope has the optional UTG 11mm rings so it can be mounted on the dovetail. Buy these rings if you get one of these scopes ( comes with picatinny/weaver rings ). I noticed that the front breech barrel screw was missing, robbed one from my non functioning 2240. I have to order parts for 2240 today I will have them send me a new screw.
All setup ready to go. First cart added pellgun oil. First shot to pierce cart dumped all CO2, bummer. Second cart held OK put 5 carts through it so far, used up 250 tin pellets. Been getting 40 good shots, number 41 – 45 weak sisters (on Sat. 90 degrees got 50 shots 2 different carts, wow ). I have in excess of 5000 shots through the 2240 and pretty much average 40 per cart, on my downstairs 11 meter range, average tempprobably 68 degrees.
So what I expected from the 2400; I would expect 35-40 strong shots from the 2400. One thing that has surprised me is that the string does not drop below my POA after 35 shots. It has enough umph to put the pellet into the bull with those last shots. Even when at lower power it might cast the pellet similar or better than what the 2240 does after about 25 shots. This I was not expecting, 18in bbl better than expected.
Trigger pull out of the box was very heavy. I posted, one of the fellows told me to pull the stock and adjust the trigger spring. Sure would be nice if on the CCS had some info about the std configuration, like the trigger adjustment, why the air tube is longer, the foregrip, bbl band , steel breech, and I am not sure what else. I assume the valve is the std 2240.
It sure would be nice if they posted expected performance specs. A couple of weeks after ordering I called customer service as I recall ( ? ) she told me 528 – 531 18in bbl; as told to her by the test group. She said 177 18in bbl in the neighborhood 625 – 630. You guys tell me.
I am going to do a head to head test with 2400kt against my M4-177 with UTG R/G dot site. Soap test will be done at 10 yards and 17 yards on my outside range. That will be fun.

Same here, but I don't get anywhere near 35 good shots. Maybe 25 at best, then POI drops off a bit.
Edit: Drops off less than I thought.. forgot that I had a few test shots before I started counting. I'll test again tomorrow.

You did the same thing I did.....and might even be saying "why didnt I do that sooner"
I have been really impressed with the overall performance....disappointed in the "small details" that get thru the QC of a "custom" shop, none-the-less overall impressed.
Mine is doing 11-12 ftlbs stock.....which is pretty darn good for a 100 dollar .22 cal c02 gun.
Measures like a rifle, with the 24 inch bbl....but really is not at all heavy. Balance is a little forward, but can still be shot as a pistol, believe it or not.
With the Leapers scope, it really shines. The first weekend I had it, I eliminated > 10 pest birds from the yard, almost perfect for that....
I almost fell into the same routine of planning mods, etc...before it arrived. I actually have given this gun more time stock than I have since I got back into shooting airguns.
It has been a nice stock performer, and fits in its own little enjoyable category....like a pcp, but without having to plug it up to the scuba tank.
Not a hotrod, but I find myself not needing a hotrod out to about 40-50 yds........
Have fun with it, and God bless,
Farmer

The only thing a ccs gun really needs is a long probe bolt since they do help tighten up the consistancy and a better trigger. Weither its cothran ss roller trigger or the 1701p/prod trigger group/frame

I've got a 2240 that I installed a steel breech and 14.6" barrel on it and I get about 20 really good shots and if I'm not worried about power I get about 30 good shots (staring FPS is around 530 and ending FPS is around 430 after 30 shots) then POI really drops off after that. With your 18" barrel you should be getting around 535 to 540 or so using .22 CPHP 14.3 grain pellets.
I also installed a lighter trigger spring and a spring guide to lighten the trigger pull. I haven't shot more than 100 pellets through it and the barrel still needs a bit of breaking in (just shot around 40 more CPHP pellets through it at lunch time to sight in a new scope I added to the 2240 Carbine). Typical groups for mine at 10 yards is about 3/4" right now. I'm hoping that those tighten up as the gun breaks in and as I try different .22 pellets that I have or get in as time goes by.
I also need to order and install a Mellon Air Long Probe Bolt to help it with accuracy and consistancy a little bit. Keep shooting yours and you'll start to get a feel for how many good shots it will get and what pellets it likes best.

congrats!
long probe bolts and 1701p grip frames/trigger groups with proper striker should be an option for custom shop guns

Because of the heat I have been shooting in my basement on my 10 meter range. Interesting inside home air condition 75 degrees, basement probably around 70 degrees. I am getting 30 shots consistent from both guns now, both have stock valves.
Temp does affect performance of these guns. My biggest problem is I love to shoot these guns and burn through a 25 box of CO2 each week. Most days I shoot 60 out of the 2240 and 60 out of the 2400. I try to shoot 7 days a week.
I am also shooting 50 shots per day out of my 1377, and 50 out of m4-177. I have to keep up the exercise each day, I am proud of my self I can now pump both guns to 10 pumps no problem.
My poor 1322 is in pieces right now. My 2240 wears his bbl and shoots chhp like a champ. 1322 will become my next project gun, give me something to play with in the fall.
