Nope - I stuck with the RS3D in .357 ... PA was great regarding the exchange, they're taking back the Refurb with all the problems and sending me a brand new gun ... Rumor has it they've made some changes to the valve, etc on the new ones, these just came in last week so I'm wondering if the replacement will be the new style, that'd just be too cool.

The .45 idea is still in the pipeline, definitely my next gun - we have a sporting shop here in town that's sorta "tacked onto" a local Hardware store, they sell the Hornady .457 Roundballs at $13/100 so it'll be nice having a cheap, local ammo source. For now though, I have about 13lbs of .360 RB's as well as 3 1/2 tins of JSB's so the .357 platform just seemed like the one to stick with.

Where did you hear that there were changes made to the valve etc on new Rainstorms? (I heard that the new models Sniper etc had new valves, but hadn't heard this about the Rainstorms)
Well, I couldn't leave well enough alone, LOLAdding a few washers bumped my 1-clip string a bit, 764-762-752-751-746-737 ... But I'm a little leery of the added stresses to the mechanism if I add any more. Anyone care to add a though or two, should I bother trying to add some mass to the hammer as versus winding up the spring, would that be a better move? Or does this just show that it's time to start messing with the transfer port and valve? It never really ends, does it
