Bamboo Stock

I've been lusting over the B25 with bamboo thumbhole stock but 1 nagging question keeps me from pulling the trigger. Will the stock split or separate? Bamboo is very strong, no doubt in my mind but it also tends to separate. I've seen many tables and pieces of furniture crack open in a relatively short period of time. Does anyone have any long term experience with this stock (1yr+ or so) ?

They also make a wood version, although not as sleek in my opinion. However you know it won't be plagued by the common bamboo properties.

I have an old Bamboo fly rod that hasn't split or anything in over 50 years.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! If I still have enough money leftover after this weekends gun show I think I might just buy one.
