1/4"ctc groups at 50yrds, 5 shots. At 100yrds, 4 of 5, 1/2" ctc, fifth shot at 100 made it 3/4"ctc. This was with a stock rifle shooting in it's sweet spot, I have not even adjusted the trigger yet. Personally I want to know what the best the rifle I buy can do, so I have something to work towards. Maybe the Bucaneer won't do the same as the Scorpion, probably more to do with the trigger, without a good trigger it would be much harder or imposible to get sub moa groups. JMO
To be clear of my stance, I did not mean to suggest you are not a good shot nor that such groups are unheard of. Just that if you can do that consistently you can mop the floor with top flight competition shooting the best rifles money can buy.
Wish you experience my BSA Lonestar trigger. I purchased it used several years ago and know that TKO tuned her...the trigger is crazy smooth. slicker than some of the better powder burner .22 and ar15 geillsel triggers I've tried.
Hey Guys, i need your help again Since i build in the FAC Transfer port the groups tightened up a little bit. Now i get around 800 (maybe little less) fps with JSB 15,89 Grainer which is nearly around 100 fps to slow what i have seen from other shot strings in this forum. So the maximum potency isnt reached until now. Now i have alle parts in the rifle for high power. (hammer, Knock off valve, hammer spring and TP) Like i said, I also screwed in the hammer spring preload nearly maximum - In until it didnt cock anymore and then a quarter round back.Is it possible that if the hammer spring tension is to much there is a decreasing in velocity again? I donīt believe that but who knows...maybe the angle of the spring curls isnīt right for maximum acceleration of the hammer weight...I hope you have some ideas..
I donīt know if this is the restrictor. All i could find is this:Part Nr. G :http://www.germansportguns.de/artikelimages/204503_2.pdfAirgunspares: http://www.airgunspares.com/store/product/16163/BSA-BSA-Buccaneer-K-Off-Valve-24J-Part-No.-16-9029/What exactly should i do with this part?
rkr, you can see in the pdf file that there are no different part 53 for different powers. I have to find out why with stock configurations 30foot pound are possible. I have only 20 right now:Look at the shot string from jamal:http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=97365.20On the bsa homepage its also just listed as a 20ft airgun (244m/s in FAC)
