Hatsan 95 .22 Question
«

Was trying to do some searching online but with no luck. Wanted to know if a sound moderator is made for a 95?
I have just purchased one and where I have not shot it yet Im reading that they are on the louder side.
I plan on shooting the heavier .22 pellet selection but still wanted to see about a moderator. I had one made for my at44 with great success. I wanted to know if the 95 is do able too?

I have a striker .22 which is the same energy level as the 95 and it is not loud at all. I live in suburbia and have no issues shooting it all day in the back yard.

Dave,
The moderator on a PCP is different, because you don't have to cock the barrel under pressure. So on a piston air rifle, the moderator system must be more stout than on a PCP. The basic Hatsan 95 comes with a plastic muzzle brake for $159. If you want to buy one with an actual sound suppression system "built-in", they start at $219.
I'm not sure if anyone is selling an aftermarket LCD for the basic 95? However, IMO, the Hatsan 95 is
Not that loud
and the extra money spent on the "built-in" model is better spent on a good scope.
Hope this helps,
Kirk

I'm guessing yours is the version with a regular moderator and not the QE version. I have a 95 with one and it's not a loud rifle, maybe 3 on the loudness scale. If you're considering cutting yours off, you might want to take a look at this video on Youtube before you do and see what's under it. What it looks like is about 6 minutes into the video and you'd need one very long moderator or even shrouding the barrel to cover that up.

Hatsan has a Mod95QE that used the same QE shroud and baffles as their PCP guns. After buying an aftermarket moderator and modifying your gun you may have well just bought the Qe version as well and have two guns

Not long ago during a Google search I saw a picture of a Hatsan 95 that someone made a full barrel shroud
For, it looked really nice. But I have no idea how it affects the sound.
My 95 vortex is pretty quiet, even more so when I wrap a towel around the compression tube.
I am curious about the QE series break barrels, I'll probably need to get on. I'm obsessed.
