HB22 sights and trigger

Received an HB22 like new yesterday for $80.. Shooting quarter sized groups at 33' offhand. But was a chore as the trigger has 2 creepy spots and hard at the end. Front sight is so small it's hard to focus on it. Sure this has come up before but hours of searching everywhere reveal little. Thinking of filing down the front sight and adding a piece of fiber optic material to the top. When I find the correct diameter for the distance. The trigger is a different story. Does anyone know of a good guide(w/photos) to correct the trigger problem? Just not that knowledgeable about them at this point. Love the gun otherwise.

HB 22 .....great gun.
Good points--accurate with just about anything I ever put down it.
CAN generate good power for a pistol with 10 pumps....
Great for paper punching with 2-3 pumps.
Can be left pumped up, and de-cocked,
Truly a do-it-all pistol.
Bad points--sights
Trigger.
I have no photos, so Im not much help. But you can go to crosman (I think that's where I went) and download the parts diagram.
Dump all the air, make sure its unloaded.
Take the 2 screws out that attach the frame to the tube, best I remember.
Might need a decent set of punches.......
Disassembly really is simple, once the frame is separated.
MIght be some aftermarket trigger out there, but mine was tolerable after it was polished, and I shimmed it to take out the slop.
Sights----whew! what a great gun with lousy sights. I just worked with mine, shooting wise, did add some white fingernail polish to the front blade.
The trigger polish/shim will help more than anything. they are fun with a shoulder stock.
God bless,
Farmer

Here is my H9A...... Out of the box the trigger pull was almost exactly as described above, even with the bad trigger managed to put most shots in one hole at 8yds indoor offhand...... As Farmer described above addition of a shoulder stock increases practical range considerably!!!!!

Take the gun apart and take out the trigger, put some moly on a Qtip and rub it on all parts my the trigger and the part of the trigger that goes in the pistol, then it should smooth a bit.
