As I've shared here I really do like my .22 caliber 392. Mine is quite accurate, delivering 1/2 inch three shot groups at 65 feet with Superdomes and Williams peep sights. It's sure a keeper! My 392's stock though has always struck me as being a somewhat clubby or ....puffy. It's the only rifle I have with as thick a butt stock section as it has. Anyone else think about this? Maybe I'm just itching to put a custom touch to my rifle, but a slimming of the butt, rounding of the angled slash cut to the fore end front and maybe white line spacers with grip cap and at the butt plate attracts me. And I really like blonde woods. My Yugo 59/66 SKS has a blonde stock that finished beautifully with 5 coats of Minwax Antique Oil.
If any other Benji owners have modified their rifles to suit particular tastes, pictures would be wonderful to admire. Thanks. Don.

Yea the 392 is definitely the fat girl oh the Benjamin's. I have a 312 and next to the 392 someone unfamiliar with guns would think ones real and the 312 is a BB gun. I just got done refinishing the stock on the 392. I sanded a lot oh it down, but its still a beast compared to the 312. I did sand down the sharp corners a good bit. Now if my 312 wasnt at Mac1 and i had another rifle to shoot. I probably woulda taken the time to do significant stock reshaping. Here is my thread another guy had done some reshaping oh his cheek rest and forearm a bit u can see in the pics. Here is a before and after oh my 392. Got that blonde look u are liking.
