I read that Crosman was discontinuing the Blue Streak and decided to buy one while I still could. The first one I got would group two inches at ten meters at rest with it's favorite pellet -- unacceptable. The rear sight could not be adjusted enough -- two inches left. I returned it and got a replacement. The first shot was low and left, the second pellet went in the same hole. Adjusted the sight and shot five pellets in a dime sized group. I'm happy to have a good shooting one, but sad that Crosman let that first one leave the factory.

I had a similar experience with a new 392. Quality control seems to be hit and miss. That said, now that you have a good one Im sure you will be happy with your new rifle. It's sad that these fine guns will no longer be made. Good for you for getting one of last ones.
My older Sheridans love the Webley & Scott AccuPels, the JSB Diabolos and the Eun Jins.
Have fun with your new Sheridan.

I ordered a Crosman 392 last year in October for a Christmas present. After a few shots the lever link rivet backed out and It couldn't be pumped. I returned it to the online retailer and got a replacement which had been fired a few times -- same issue after a hundred pellets or so. I got an RMA from Crosman and returned it. It didn't arrive in time for Christmas.
I can see why Crosman wants to stop making these rifles.

Crosman created their own quality-control problems with these guns. Being an older design, they are more complicated to build... rather than buckle-down and do the right thing, and build them with attention to detail, Crosman is indifferent to quality, and lets the purchaser do the quality control for them. It's so much easier to have CAD/CAM designs built in China.
Soon, there will be no U.S.-built Crosmans, at all, I predict. Crosman will simply be a U.S.-based marketer of Chinese air guns.
