Just wondering if the AT44-10 Short tends to 'ping' when fired. If so does anyone here have a clue what the outer diameter of the air reservoir is? Mike Kobel at Citrus Airguns makes a nice de-pinger cup for a great price and says he can make one for the Hatsan, all he needs is the tube diameter. On another note: I purchased an AT44S-10 Short and had it shipped to my new home in NC. I won't be able to make the move East until next month but am going to have my house sitter ship the rifle to Hatsan for their QE upgrade (I decided not to hassle with the potential legal problems associated with an LDC). I'm also shopping for a good used SCBA tank and a fill assembly. I'm having fun putting all the pieces together and sending them East where they will be waiting for me on my arrival - it makes for a pleasant sense of anticipation..
Ah - forgot about that. Mike said that it does not act as a regulator..

Won't they just sell the barrel assembly? I think it is just a matter of getting baffles in order and something about a 14 mm bolt head to deal with.?ThanksGator

Earlier today I was looking at photos of a blimp passing over your house. Good times. The QE rifles use the same barrels as non-QE rifles. Hatsan will not sell their QE shrouds for self-installation, but they'll install shrouds on customer rifles for a hundred dollars (including return shipping). I got mine back in a week or so.
