Hi. From the serial #, relative to mine@441xxx, it is probably late eighties. I don't know when they stopped using the 6 digit serial #. Is it a rocker saftey? See my post "sheridan c-whatever it is" for some good info from mac1, thankyou Tim. Parts are available no problem except for new proposed regs by your Royal pain in the Mail regarding delivery of airgun related parts may make them difficult to get. Welcome from another newt, tk

Great. Thanks for that.Going to strip it tomorrow see if i can get it working, had a look earlier, poked around a bit and got it to fire once, but the valve stuck open again so won't pump up.With a bit of luck,WD40 might do it.

Not WD40 please. Get some air tool oil in there, not too much, and see if that loosens it up. Look around here and on the vintage airgun forum if you want to take it apart; there are some detailed tutorials. I know on the newer models with the cartridge valve it is simply a matter of pushing the valve out with pump pressure. Not sure if that works on the on the older ones. The valve body is soldered in, and you only remove components. There is a specific tool for this, but you may be able to "blow" the parts out on these as well. Maybe someone experienced with this will respond...tk

Hello again.Sheridan, silver streak with rocker safty.Stripped it down, oiled the valve but could not get it out to inspect it properly.I did get two realy good powerful shots, then the valve stuck again so won't pump up.It's the brass valve with the pin sticking out,i think its the one that needs a special tool to remove it.I think i will have to order one from the U.S.A. not sure yet i am still learning.Cheers all.Have a nice day.
