Dropped my gun today

Ok, I didn't actually drop it. but it fell over. I was out back just after sunset and I see something out the corner of my eye. I focus on it and see a very large mouse, not shaped like a rat with the larger hind area but a BIG mouse. I happen to have a flashlight in my pocket. I shine it on him and he runs up the tree and along the fence. I see him again about 10 min later. Sooooo, i grabb my Talon SS and sit on stoop with my back against the door.Waiting on him...... after about 15 min. I wanted a drink of water. I CARFULY lean the Talon against the brick wall, done it many times before. Start to get up, not looking at the gun and hear it fall over in the the rocks lining the ground under the shrubs. AAAAHHHHHH! It scratched my new shroud and the small ding on the 11mm rail at the end of the barrel. left a small amount of rock dust on the scope at both ends where they hit. Doesn't look like it damaged the scope, but I'm gona check the zero first thing tomarrow. Well now she has some character marks on her. A little touch of emery cloth and a black magic marker and she'll look much better. The first scratch always hurts the most. I did buy it to use it and not just put it on display.

. AAAAHHHH!
. I can hear it now. Glad your rifle was alright. I've never dropped any of my guns but I did drop my smartphone outta my treestand twice this deer season and I remember well the sick feeling of hearing it bouncing its way down.

I hope she did not suffer any damage. These guns are real resilent to say the least. My HW97K slipped off a countertop with my UTG scope and the ocular on the rear of the scope slammed flush on the countertop!
I was sure it was toast. Went outside and shot and the darn thing was spot on!

I think getting that first drop or bump out the way lets you have confidence in your gun that it is built well and not fragile. My .22 Marauder dropped off the table and onto my concrete garage floor after I walked away from it... But it was just fine, with a couple battle scars.

I feel your pain and cringe just thinking about it.
I dropped my R9 a couple months back and it suffered a split stock with some road rash.

Your Talon should be fine. It's not a heavy or long gun so there should be no impact. Still you need to test it for accuracy before you can hunt with it.
I had my Diana 350 leaning on a tree a few years ago as I was trying to position 2 crows I had shot to take pictures. I had the 350 standing in the snow, but it was getting warm and the snow was melting slowly, so it must have given a little and the 350 fell over on the snow which was actually pretty hard and packed. It made a loud noise since it was about almost 9.5lbs with the scope. It got a couple of very small puncture marks on the foreend, but I shot a few at paper right after, and it was fine. I am sure yours will be fine too. The Talon is so light, I doubt anything happened to it besides the scratches. If not, I would loosen up the barrel bushings and re-tighten them to get everything lined up again. Start with the bottom screws first and make sure they are snug, and then do the side ones.

Good to hear your rifle is alright.
Grabbed my FX out of the safe today, on my way down the stairs lost my footing and down I went.
Good news kept the rifle high and out of harms way, bad news my arss and shoulders kill me.
shooting the fx, made things a little better.
