Wondering how this "Hatsan" Otima would compare to the BSA RD30 for use on my 1377?
While they are both the same price on PA, what attracts me to the Optima is its 1/2 MOA VS the Beezah having 5 MOA.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but with the short range of my pistol I would think that would give me more accurate zeroing... and at longer ranges the sight dot would not cover as much of the target.
While I know the BSA mounts will fit a 3/8 dovetail on my steel breech, nowhere can I find what the Optima has, only mention is "it's not 11mm so it must be." (?)
Ruggedness is always a factor, it's not going on a Springer, but the pumping action does have it's own type of repeated smacking.
I've searched every term I can think of here and don't find much info on it.
Anybody care to share thoughts / experience / knowledge?
Thanks!

Do a bit more shopping and comparing on your chosen models. A 1/2 MOA red dot sight verges on the unbelievable to me - especially for an inexpensive one. Are you sure you're not comparing a holographic sight wit a red dot?
If indeed the sight is 1/2 MOA do you think you could even see it in the daytime?
When something sounds too good to be true it usually is.

I think you are confusing the dot size verses windage and vertical adjustments. I would doubt the hatsan sight has a 1\2 moa dot. Most likely it is the same size dot as the bsa at around 5moa. I've got a Mueller Quick Shot holographic sight on a couple of my guns and it has a 3moa dot. I like it for pistol shooting at fairly close ranges. I don't usually shoot more than 15yards.

Barry is dead on. The Hatsan 1/2 MOA is the click value or movement per click when adjusting the scope.

sooooo....
Better for short range (pistol)? That is exactly my concern.
that is a plus.
Almost pulled the trigger on the BSA at the gun show today for $40 askin price. I may go back tomorrow and offer him $30

Nice bikes guys. If this dummy knew how to post pics I'd post a couple of my rice burners.
