Which trigger for rebranded Gamo repeater?
«

I've been looking at the replacement triggers for the Gamos with metal triggers and safeties and still not sure if I need the GRT III or not. I've looked at CDTs list and still sitting on the fence about which one will work. The rifle is a Daisy 130 repeater and I think was made in Spain and not Scotland. I've done some sample shooting at 30 yards with the 20 pound trigger pull and the accuracy is promising but a good trigger would make this into a fun toy. It has the side mount scope to clear the pellet tube and is an odd looking setup but works very well. If I took it apart and got a photo of the trigger group would someone be able to help me? Thanks

I know this isn't a high zoot, ultra high quality air rifle. I have my other PCPs and springers for that aspect of plinking. I thought this was sort of an orphan break barrel with some cool features and even though 600ish fps isn't outstanding it will work for me. Here are some pics of the 130 and the trigger and safety. I found the made in Spain stamp.

Kinda hard to tell from the pics, but I don not believe that any of the CDT triggers will work in that application.
I'm sure someone will be along to correct me if I'm wrong.

That's what I was curious about. After some more checking it is basically a Gamo Expo. What if anything can be done to smooth up the trigger?

Well, after a great deal of research and reading on the web it looks like the dream of putting a CDT trigger on this particular Gamo is dead. The only option left is to disassemble, polish, and hone. It's never been taken apart so it will be a good time to look at the piston seal and polish the spring guide, tube, get the globs of grease cleaned out, and etc. I was hoping for a drop in miracle but when dealing with older Gamo orphans you have to expect anything. I have newer Gamos that I can put CDT triggers on to help ease the pain.

I got a reply on another forum that indicated that the GTX II or possibly III trigger would work on this rifle. Is there anyone out there that works on these that can verify that information. I would need to make some new pivot pins with clips and grind out the rivets that hold it in now. I really sort of lost here. I know if i stay with the current setup and do a polish and hone treatment I'll still need to make a pivot pin so that much is a given.

I never did find a trigger to replace the stock one. I've polished it some but it is different that any other Gamo trigger that I've seen. I guess Daisy didn't call for that spec when Gamo built that model. It's a shame because the 130 has some real potential if the trigger was better. I've shot some OK groups at 30 and 40 yards but it's exhausting. I have mine scoped with a side mount scope and it is surprising what it is capable of. If you find a replacement please let me know.

I can't find an A or B on mine either and I'm not sure what the difference is. If a replacement trigger would happen to work it would make a huge difference.

Just FYI, Mendoza make a break barrel repeater. It holds 7 or 8 pellets in the tube on top of the receiver. Mine works better with just 5 pellets in it. Works okay sometimes, sometimes otherwise. You can google Mendoza air rifles to see one or type in Amazon Mendoza Repetition air rifle.

I have a 25 shot repeater Gamo I bought in the late 80's. No model number or name on it just Gamo in the barrel. Great shotting little gun.
