2240 driy fire?

Het guys,
Is it ok to dry fire this thing several times for practice or will it hurt the
gun?
Also say it only gets 40 good shots out of the co2,does it hurt the system to remove the co2 with remaining air in it ?
Thanks again for all your advice.

I dry fire mine when working on the trigger. I have not experienced any problems. Spring or nitro piston guns cannot be dry fired. It will not hurt the system to release CO2 pressure, but do so slowly from a safety stand point. I slowly unscrew the front cap until I hear CO2 begin to hiss. I then put the gun down and do something else until I do not hear the hiss. Then slowly unscrew the cap and remove it and the cartridge. Quite simple.
Your shot count will vary with the ambient temperature of course. The lower the temperature, the fewer shots you will get.
