My 392 can shoot a 3/4 inch 3 shot group at 50 yards and at 30 yards I can cover 3 shots with a dime. Mines been recrowned and had all the paint removed from the inside of the barrel. But other than that its stock. As for mods there's the steroid 392 from mac1 which is a more powerful version of the stock 392 and there's many other smaller cheap mods. Hope this helps! Thanks for the input gents, heard that the older ones may have been built better & was of better quality, think'n of look'n for one with some age on it now, just have to take to fins a good one.

Mac1What do you feel is accurate enough for a 397 for a steroid mod?Also, I saw your post about the new muzzle brake for these benjamins. Any idea as to the decibel level before and after installation?
