:'(have done trigger mod and safety mod new steel bushings cleaned and lubed . have tried 4 different scopes . the last scope was a 3x9 ao BSA first shot with this scope diesled and shot hit point of aim , the next 12 went either high or low strung vertically over at least a foot. this vertical stringing has been the norm for this rifle with all the scopes tried . im no newbe to shooting . mw old Chinese underlever springer will group inside 3/4 inch at 20 yds. and has taken many squrrels. can anyone suggest anything to solve this problem. the next step is 4x4 runover and dumpster.

I put a Maccari seal in my Nitro Venom. Stringing is now a thing of the past.
Crosman seals are molded and therefore flawed from the factory. Maccari seals are machined.
Check the bargain gate, they even have a twelve percent discount code that expires at midnight tonight (Dec 20).

Hello Robert, been there and had the same trouble. I was really getting upset until I let a friend shoot it and it grouped. I found that if I can feel the front stock holes with my finer and thumb I'm holding correct. After moving up and down the stock that is "my" hold spot. Try moving your hand around the stock and see the changes it makes, you will find a spot that is right for you. Now the Titan is fun to shoot. Don't give up to fast it is there you just have to find it.

Here I thought it was me. I have had the same problem with my Titan but I was shooting from a bench rest using a lead sled. I switched to a set of sand bags and the problem seems to have went away. I thought it was something to do with the barrel flexing because on the lead sled the rifle sets on the fore stock and with the sand bags the barrel rests on the bag. I have checked and tightened stock and the pivot screws but the only thing that seems to help is using the sand bags. Funny thing is my Phantom 1000 works just fine from the sled, wonder if it has something to do with the difference in recoil between springer's and nitro piston. Anyway I will keep at it till I find what makes the difference in the 2 rifles.
Good luck with your shooting,

roadworthy; is this maccari seal for the piston or for the barrel to action seal? im still thinking the scopes are bouncing internally. going to take the newest bsa off and try open sites from bench . even with 78 yr old eyes I should be able to learn something.

got out early took scope off taped an old ramp sight on the barrel and a front sight from a marlin 22 with set screw. the two were only about 14 in apart. front stock on sandbag very carefully with fuzzy old eyes shot 3 rounds into a dime sized group at 20 yds. with 10.5 gr gamo pellets soooo the rifle will shoot now if I can find a scope that will stand up to the recoil. I may start looking at peep sights.

Robert, the Maccari seal is for the piston. I recommend the Hawke Sport 3-9X40 AO. I have about 6000-7000 shots with mine and no problems.
Pretty good glass.

Remorg6gun,
The Maccari (ARH) seal is for the piston. You'll have to search around some but there are lots of threads on scopes, look for one that is air gun rated.
