Is it normal for an extended probe bolt to just like dome pellets. My 1377 just likes the dome pellets like the Jsb's and Superdomes. The CPHPs and pointed pellets are hard to load and shoot wildly.

Same thing with my 1322.
It's very hard to load the CPHP pellet.
The JSB's just slide in without a snag.

if your breech has the forward screw where you can see it with the bolt open, then fill that divot with beeswax or melted crayon. after it sets be sure to scrape out the extra. that divot, when not filled can cause the pellet to tip and catch during loading. out of habit i close the bolt with my thumb and middle finger while my index finger rides gently on the skirt. this works to keep the head up while sliding over the divot. this works even if you don't fill in the divot. even loads wadcutters like this.
like was mentioned check the lead. sometimes the lead of the barrel doesn't mate exact with the breech by just alittle. a good polish in this area never hurts. while you're checking the lead, look in the barrel where the transfer port is drilled and look for any burs.
also note that different pellets have different head sizes and maybe more snug fitting.
peace
