Dec. 75. So yes it is a self cocker, and is most likely smoothbore. 66 pump tube will not work.
I decided to revisit the 66 again last night. I had to decide if it was being torn down for other projects or if I could get it up to snuff. I personally prefer the way these rifles feel over the 13xx carbines but if I could not get the 66 to work the pump tube was going on a 13xx. Last night I tore it back down. I flipped the breech seal and lbed it with a huge drop of 30wt nd. Thisnext part may be SOP and I just didn't know it, but here is what I did. I pushed the breech block at the end of the straw barrel into the pump tube seal. Then took several wraps of electrical tape around the straw barrel and the pump tube to firmly hold them together for the tightest possible fit. resighted it in this am and as before it is silly accurate at 15 yards. 5 shots is a ragged 3/8th inch hole. Then I shot the Winnie dome pellets into the 1/2 inch plywood that before the 66 would only sometimes penetrate with 15 pumps. At 10 pumps and from 15 yards the Winnie dome pellets penetrate the 1/2 inch plywood deeper than the skirts. So I was clearly losing air at the most crucial point inthe system. Right before the pellet. So now I am happy with the performance. It now also has a wood pump arm. Painted black. The stock is filled with silicone. Once I settle on optics for it it will get a camo paint job and be a good nutter/rabbit weapon.
I just measured the 66, it's right on 14" LOP.I have a $44 Hammers 3-9x32 AO on a hpa converted qb79, I don't recall finding a AO scope any cheaper. It's been a solid scope for over a year. for the price, a good buyHey you're in East Chatam-- the cape??I'm in NH, hi neighbor!
I was referring to Rewinder wanting a Recruit stock, yours looks fine, and on an adult there's no real advantage since the LOP at the full extended point is exactly the same...
