I made my choice from the glowing reports of members of the forum. Also from what I have read Mike is ever changing his methods and learning new tricks for tuning. I respect someone who is changing and learning as he continues, sadly to many times we go with what we know and don't look further. I have already received my shipping notice and look forward to many hours of shooting. As my motto is, Beware the man who only owns one gun, he just may know how to shoot it. I will have to get my 392 cleaned up and sell it.

Why not keep the 392 ad get a larger closet?

The 392 & 397 guns are really popular.
Mac1 can put them on steroids.

Your going to enjoy it. Did you get .177 or .22? Mine is .22 and one of my favorite guns. Ol-blue has taken an uncountable number of Starlings and other pest. Shoots straight and hits hard!

One more thing. Mine really likes 14gr pellets. Doesn't seem to care about brand, just weight.

... i concur... the 392 is about to dissapear, so keeping yours might be the smart thing to do. plus they are indestructable, require little maintenance and in the case of my particular 392, crazy accurate out to 40 yards. i got lots of rifles (as in borderline "you got a problem"... lots) but the 392 is still there. keep her pumped (2 pumps), shoot her at least once a month, and she is always there. she is now being treated like the 'Dan...

Brown truck came today, nice rifle. Impressed already. .22 full tune.
Going to have to change to beware the man who owns several guns, he might know how to shoot them all!
