I'm thinking of trying to convert a springer I bought VERY cheap at a pawn shop from pellets to a springer shotgun similar to the one that Gamo used to make. My question is this: as long as the payload of pellets is equal to or greater in weight than the average .177 pellet (8grs +/-) will I be ok or will that payload have less resistance than a pellet and possibly cause the piston to slam too hard into the front of the cylinder (name?). Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Charlie
