This is a great rifle. Dead on target groups at 50 yards. Trigger not worth a &^^&!!! Does anyone have info or a link to a drop in trigger, or info on a trigger job. Anything has to be better than what it is now.......12lbs.
Thanks for any info.

I have one of these weapons and it is such a fantastic springer. Mine already had trigger work done. I know Dez loves these and has shared some info with me before. Hopefully he will chime in this am and shed some light for us

I have one that was tuned by Gene Curtis and the trigger is AMAZING! Problem is that I have no idea what he did to it to make it so smooth, crisp and consistent! But I will say that it is most certainly an accurate powerhouse that is for sure.

Bought mine at a pawn shop for $25. Rusted- up outside. Gunked-up inside, shot about 600fps. Plastic stock beat up and someones initials carved in it. Put a spring and seal from Air Rifle Headquarters in it $33 shipped, two leather B2 breach seals, took trigger apart. cleaned, a little oil, replaced the trigger spring with a ink pin spring after snipping a few coils off. Mollyed the spring guide, the top hat, ends of the main spring and the parts of the piston that touch inside of the receiver. Sprayed p/u bed liner on the outside of barrel and receiver. Got a Winchester 1000 wood stock from Daisy $35 shipped. Winchester re-furbed 2-7x32AO scope $25. Gamo barrel weight $16. Trigger pull 2 lbs. Crosman 4grs alloy 1150 fps.
Rws miesterkulgen 8.2 grs 880fps. Four pellets made one hole at 23 yards with a flyer half inch away. Jerked the trigger on the last one. Same gun as the Winchester 1000, made by Hatsan until 2005 from what I read. Got a Winchester 1000 at another pawn shop but it shot good day one and haven't tore it down. Later

Had mine for a few years. Fantastic gun except for the trigger. Changed the small spring and polished all the metal to metal contact points. One other thing. When you remove the trigger assembly there is an extra hole with a pin through it. Didn't know what is was for but made a comma shaped piece out of teflon (slick stuff), put it between the trigger blade and trigger lever and used the hole and pin to mount it. No metal to metal contact. Just a little under 3# trigger pull. Sweet!

Russell Sauer put together a great guide on these.
http://webpages.charter.net/rs_enterprises/guns/RSE%20-%20Daisy%201000%20trigger%20guide.pdf
As far as I know, there are no drop in triggers being made for these. I had a former member here volunteer to CNC me some replacements so I sent him a complete trigger group for a guide. The member disappeared from GTA as did my trigger group.
I made my own from aluminum. With some work as mentioned, careful filing and some spit and polish, you can take these from the awful 14 pound down to 3 pound or less. I also built mine to have two stages.

The trigger on my Walther Falcon Hunter is the same , or close to it. I also had the extra hole with a pin in it like Neil had in his. That had me stumped because when I took mine apart it all came apart and I didn't know what went where. I had a heck of a time getting it smooth , short and light . Ended up adding a screw through the trigger that allowed me to get a different contact point on the sear. Or mid sear. Not sure what its called . It in effect added more leverage . Polished contact points and added some slik50. I really couldn't make it any better for a one stage trigger. I like it now.

I used R. Sauers's info. Still took 2 or 3, 2-3 hr sessions over about a week to get it back together. But I enjoyed it. Like when I assumed an old Peak B4-2's trigger was like a B3 trigger. Wrong, took three hour to get that one back together but I'm a better person for it. Seems like on the Grt trigger list there were ones for these turkey Daisy/Winchester 1000. Are the newer chinese Winchester triggers like these ? The safety lever looks the same.

Yep Tim, even with the guide, it's an adventure. But as I said, as far as I know there is no drop-in replacement being made for the Turkish made Daisy/Winchester/Powerline 1000 airguns. And most definitely the GRT does not fit them.

I also read there were different versions made in Brazil. When I got the Winchester 1000 wood stock for
it the lady asked that. She talked like it was the last stock they had. She said, We found one, it's a little dinged-up but if you want it $25+shpg. The gun was so rusty and pitted you couldn't read anything on it but it was just like my Winchester. That's why I painted it. But 2 lbs trigger pull, 4 pellets one hole, it's a keeper

The Daisy/Winchester/Powerline models started out being made in Germany. Then Brazil, Then Turkey and now China. The contract expires and the manufacture decides to stick with the makers or move elsewhere. Sure makes it interesting and confusing at times.

I just looked at Russel Sauer's trigger guide. That sure would have made things easier. What he said to do is pretty much what I ended up doing. I didn't get the two stage part though. Oh well , I learned a lot and I can take it apart and reassemble it with ease now.

I meant to add that the trigger in my Walther Falcon Hunter is the same. And I'm not gonna lie , I had a hard time with this trigger. I took the gun apart and put it together it seems like over 20 times. I had a couple misfires while checking it and bent my barrel twice. And the first time I thought I had it fixed I was an hour or two into a trip to the river when I couldn't discharge it.
At one point I gave up and called Rick Eustler , or someone at Hatsan USA I think , and inquired about a new trigger. Didn't have the funds so I looked into selling the gun for parts. After I realized that I had to fix it, I just looked at all the parts and imagined how they worked. The long spring in the back I eliminated. Changed the other two. I had to grind off part of an intermediary sear so the main sear could rotate enough to engage fully and safely. I can't measure trigger pull or smoothness but for comparison it is as good as my Marauder , without the two stages. Maybe now I can remedy that.
I realize trigger alterations can be dangerous and I wouldn't recommend what I did to anyone , regardless of the results. But the feeling of accomplishment in not giving up and making it work was awesome.
