Yes, I have fitted Altaros regulators to my BT65 and AT44 and they work very well.
The trade off is that you lose maximum power, but gain shot consistency and shot count per fill.

Serious question: why would you spend money on a regulator rather than just pulling the rifle down to 12 ft/lb by its preload screw for free?

In the UK we are limited to 12 ft/lbs by law, so Hatsan PCP air rifles come pre-configured with greatly reduced transfer port bore sizes to reduce the maximum muzzle velocity to within that limit.
However, the valve stem and hammer spring pre-load tension are not changed from the unlimited power configuration, with the result that each shot uses just as much air as a full power shot, but most of the air actually flows out of the barrel long after the pellet has exited the muzzle.
The advantage of fitting a regulator is that it allows you to reduce the amount of wasted air per shot, along with the primary benefit of presenting a consistent valve resistance to the hammer strike. This flatttens out the velocity curve and helps with accuracy because you no longer get a wandering point of impact as the pressure in the air cylinder reduces, and the valve resistance drops, with each subsequent shot.
In my BT65 I have the regulator set to 100 bar, the lowest it will currently go, and I get 55 regulated shots from 200 bar down to 100 bar, at which point it becomes unregulated and I start to lose my zero point.
I'm planning to modify the regulator so I can set it down to 70 Bar and get perhaps 80 regulated shots per fill, but I need to do some research on belville washer theory before I attempt it.

Interesting. I knew about the 12 ft/lb limit and the valve changes to non-FAC guns, but I figured it was all the same after that.
Thanks!

The valve is unchanged. The only difference between FAC and non-FAC is the I/D of the transfer port. If I am ever granted an FAC then one pass with a 5mm drill bit would quickly modify it up to full power.

Robert Lane regulator gives normal 1fps deviation with an increase to 4ps every 5 shots or so; at least with .25 running at around 970fps.
One of his regulator's on an untuned .22 AT44, not owned by me but the person used my Chrony, running at around 580fps gave normal variation of around 5fps.

Statement 2 seems perfectly feasible, but statement 1 needs more explanation, perhaps?

Not sure what you mean by further explanation. There will be a variation of 1fps between shots, but every 4th or 5th shot will show a variation of 4 or 5 fps and then return to variations of 1fps. I do not know why that occurs. No such odd variation with other rifles using that same chrony.
Other Robert Lane regulators on other models of rifle I've seen/used, such as Daystate Huntsman or AA S400/500 series, normally show variations of no more than 3fps.
I do not have any financial interest in, or know, Robert Lane/his regulators. Just a happy customer. After using regulated PCP's, I would not want to use unregulated. I just wish that Daystate would fit proper regulators to their bottle guns....and make the latter removable.

Sorry Trev, I apologise for not not making myself clear enough in my last post.
970 fps with 25.4 grain JSBs would give just over 53 ft/lbs at the muzzle.
So this must be an FAC rated Hatsan BT65 fitted with a Lane regulator that you are talking about?
If so, then what output pressure was the reg set to, and how many shots did you get before it went unregulated?

Reg output at 140 bar, though 130 bar still produced accurate shots.
Final setting of 3.1 bar used per shot.
27 shots, or 3 magazines, per fill; when filled above the 200bar recommended setting. 2 cylinders seem fine holding 270bar, though such a pressure seems to affects harmonics/accuracy a little.....even when barrel free-floated. I usually fill to 250 bar, which usually drops to 240ish.
Better, and safer due to locations, for a number of jobs. That is angle to take with Firearms Officer.
Drilling the air transfer port is only one of a number of jobs to do. Apart from rectifying poor workmanship and some materials, there is some redesigning to do in order to make a BT65 an accurate and reliable airgun. Example; rifling excellent but end thread was out of line. At least I feel happy having it camo painted and letting it get knocked about, unlike some rifles with beautiful stocks.

Wow, a 240 bar fill, eh? Now that is quite impressive!
Not sure how my reg would handle that level of pressure as I don't think it's quite as heavy duty as one of Mr Lane's creations. Might have to try it though, now that you've put the idea into my head.
A series of gentle increments might be the way to go and I expect that it would increase the regulated shot count fairly significantly with my particular configuration, if nothing goes pop, of course. Hmm......
