Bubas,
1) Before shooting, make sure the air cylinder is screwed into the receiver as tight as it can be. On the muzzle end, make a line on the end of the air cylinder that lines up with the center of the bore. Unscrew the air cylinder and check which valve hole lines up best with the line you just made on the end of the cylinder. That's the only valve hole to keep, plug the others with 10/24 screws of the metric equivalent.
2) Nope, not easily. The JB Weld is pretty strong stuff.
3) No. Use the Hatsan valve. You can always buy another air cylinder which comes with a new valve.
Lastly, this modification is not experimental.........it works

Ok Kirk,
I read a lot about this and you're, its the best way to maje the galatian more efficient.
So Since I am a beginner, I'll take one step at a time and try to post every mod here in other topic.
One more thing: have you heard about anyone fixing the galatian crown?
Thank you!

Nothing actually, just to know if someone do that as another mod to improve accuracy. But this is something I wouldn't do by myself.
Anyway, thank again for the patience. As soon as I do any modification, I will post here and let you know.
Thank you!

Since the crown looks OK, address it down the road, if needed
. The Galatian is pretty accurate in OEM state.
Right now, you've got bigger fish to fry with the tune. One step at a time

Hello Mr. Kirk,
Here I am again
Today I had some free time and I tried to adjust the hammer spring. I removed the butt stock retaining plate and tried to adjust the spring but my allen wrench did not reach the end, or at least the screw. Do I need to use a long wrench or something?
Here is the picture without the butt stock retaining plate showing the hole where I thought the adjustable screw would be.
Thank you,
Bruno.

Bruno,
Mine is 7" long, but I think 6" L shaped wrench should work fine.

Is that safe?
I mean, in my mind, when you cock the gun, the hammer spring will be compressed. Loosing it while compressed is ok?

make the gun safe when you are doing it. remove all pellets from near it. pull the air cylinder and keep the barrel aimed in a safe way and you should have nothing to worry about. as long as the hammer doesn't come off the sear you don't have to worry about anything, once you get the hammer adjustment all the way blinded up the rifle won't cock, unscrew it about a half a turn and it will cock just fine, a little stiff but it will cock.

Hi guys! I’m know this is an old thread but my Galatian is new. Right out of the box it if fantastic but needs a tune.mit is an air HOG! Anyway I come from a Benjamin so my first instinct was to lessen the pre-load. I noticed that when uncocked, the spring is actually loose! When you pull the cocking mechanism, the first 1/3 bring the spring back and the next 2/3rds compresses the spring. This is the way it came out of the box... if I back the spring tension, there is something in front of the spring (I asume is the actual hammer) that comes back eliminating this space...but the cocking side lever becomes increasingly hard to cock...is this normal? on the factory settings I can actually see the spring moving back and forth as I move the gun up and down.. it doenslt affect the shooting but it annoys me a but...
is this ok?
What is the “correct” loosest level?
maybe mine is too loose?
What is the max number of turns for the pre-load? (Range...for example from 0 to 10 turns)
Thanks a lot guys..
