Help with Benjamin that won't break

Hi,
My .22 Benjamin nitro suddenly won't break, I mean even with extream force, it's kinda new, less than 2000 pellets fired with it, the only different thing is that I used new pellets. Premier crossman 14.3 gr, domed ultra magnum. I was told the pellets are one of the best, so, if any expert has an advice I'll appreciate it.
Regards

I believe in the owner's manual it advises you to smack the barrel. The impact will usually break it loose even if a straight pull won't.
Once it's open put some lube on the surface of the alive jam (that spring loaded wedge) and drip a bit of oil into the hole it lives in as well. Lubrication of the pivot and the cocking linkage is always a good idea. You can even go wild and put some moly along the cocking slot. Your gun will thank you.

One of mine did this. It turned out to be spring bind in the alive jam. If slapping the end of the barrel (per Roadworthy) doesn't do the trick, call Crosman. If they want you to send it in, ask for a shipping label. They are usually great to deal with.

A chip of steel in the spring detent bore caused my NP2 spring detent pin to bind in the retracted position after 20 shots. I was able to disassemble and remove the chip. If Crosman does not offer a solution. you could remove the barrel pivot bolt and see what's gone wrong.

Years ago i had a benji 1100 xl,no matter how hard you pulled it wasnt opening.....had to slap her open.
I consider this a good tight latch that only helps accuracy.

Another thought, The spring loaded detent pin might just need lubrication. A couple drops of oil could be applied after removal of the stock.

With 2000 shots you are no rookie on how to open it... and by now the gun is broke in.
If you have been using the palm of your hand and smack it open, and now you suddenly can't, something went south.
If it's still under the one year warranty, send it back.
If not, I'd be pulling off the stock, removing the pivot screws, remove the barrel section and see what's going on with the latch / wedge or it's spring.
