Yahoo, I have joined the darkside. Disco arrived yesterday. Have the one that comes with the pump. Packing for gun is barely adequate. It did stay in the box though. Initial impression is that this is a really good upgrade of my 60 year old Benji 317. About same size and weight. Don't get me wrong, I love that old gun. Anyway, I cleaned the grime out of the barrel and used that fancy pump to put about 1500 psi in the tank. 16 hrs. later gauge reads exactly where I left it. Both the rifle and pump gauges read the same when I initially charged it. So far so good. Today, son is coming up and I'm thinking the new crony and rifle will get tested. Only question so far is, what kind of finish do they put on these guns. Almost looks like wrinkle varnish. Not complaining (yet) just wondering.

Congrats on the new Disco. Great rifle, you'll have a lot of fun with that shooter. Looking forward to your report on how it shoots.

Well, it was about time you upgraded - 60 years! lol I hope you enjoy you Discovery as mush as I do mine. I use my .22 for hunting Fox Squirrels; and it is deadly accurate.
I didn't like the factory paint on the Discovery and have since refinished mine.

My a Disco is a year old. I have always shot it with CO2 because I already had the fill station. It's shooting around 635-640 FPS so I'll not need any more power. As said above, it is deadly accurate. I shoot varmits out to 45 yards with it with AA Falcon dome pellets. Of course the JSB Exacts shoot well also. I did add another barrel band (cheap from Crosman) and I believe it improved the accuracy re: consistent POI. What's not to love about 'em? Mine is .22 and was bought as a refurb.

Same here guys. I ordered my Disco from Pyramyd Air at the north end of the state on 06/30/2014, and I got mine delivered on 07/01/2014. 22 hours later to me at the southwest corner of Ohio.

Congrats on your new gun, a great one to start into the "dark side". What a great way to enjoy Father's Day. I have one ordered from Cabela's, it should be here by the end of the week. Have fun and be safe.

Horrible accident that first day. But it turned out good. Son set disco down and it slid down some wood stairs. Guns ok but the not great looking stock was now not good at all. Too soon for that nonsense. Same day stripped off all old paint and stain. (as much as I could) Hey, that's not walnut lumber as I expected. Very light color, beech maybe. Anyway. four coats of Tru-oil and some hand buffing and and what ever this wood is, it looks pretty nice. While I was waiting for the oil to dry I looked at most of the mods for this gun. Boy have I got some fun stuff to look at. I really like this rifle. It is the right weight and size for me. Shot really well too. Need to get more shots between pumps and that will be my second project. Onward into the darkside.

That's what mine looks like only not so much grain. I like that but plate. Looks good. I will try to get a pic of mine and post it. I really think the natural wood looks much better than that heavy stain and paint. OK, here's the pic. Bad lighting, looks much better outdoors where it belongs.

Very much improved, Terry, and more durable too. Also, I like your "Tootsie Roll" Benjamin Pump below the Discovery.
The butt plate is hand/home made. Now the rifle fits my size and shape.

That old Benji was given to me for Christmas when I was 10 or 12 yrs old. It got resealed this year and is still fun to shoot. It really is very much like the disco. I like them more than any other guns I own.
