Hey Kavin2845,Air Gun Depot has the QB79 & QB78's for $105. The Ninja tanks with SHPA can be bought on-line for $80/$85.Pumps can be had from $175 to $300 depending on quality - Benjamin/Hill. The HPA tank can be filled in about 30 min with a hand pump. All things said, this will be a lightweight, regulated gun shooting 1" or better groups at 50/60 yards. The QB78 will require more work than QB79. See Bob's post or Jason (nervoustrigger) for how to. Just an idea, which can't be beat for accuracy or economy; but need to be able to do the handy work yourself or the price escalates.Kirk

Got a QB79 about a month or so ago and at least at 50' (my backyard range), it will definitely out-shoot the Disco. I have some valve mods, poly transfer seal, cock on open and other tinkering mods - plus the Ninja SHP V2 Pro regulated tank. Chrony'd today at 830fps with 10.3gr AA, will put 5 shots into one hold a bit larger than a pencil eraser - I suspect it actually shoots better than that, but is limited to my ability. The pellets were sorted and lubed. I have a UTG SWAT scope on top. I made a half-shroud for it out of 1" aluminum tube with a Marauder style stripper and Delrin end bushings - makes it super backyard friendly.I fill from SCUBA to about 2200psi and get at least 50 shots before going off regulator.I'm still working on mods - next will be an RVA. I will probably play to see what the power maxes out at and then detune for more shots. I mostly shoot paper, but anything north of 5fpe will take out any pest squirrels, starlings, etc. - maybe not at long range, but I'm in the suburbs.Steve

I would go with a co2 converted to hpa. Two options, a .22 qb79 with ninja hipac, or crosman 2400 with powermax hipac. Both will cost under $200. Then a pump will put you in your budget. Get a $30 tasco scope, 3-9x32. It truly is all you need. I use this scope on my fusion. With either setup you should be near or a little over the 12fpe mark. Go with the 18" or 24" barrel if you get the crosman.
getting there is half the fun maybe more.

But if you choose to Ignore this advice, you will find the Darkside eats $100.00 dollar bills like Skiddles
The PCP "rifle is cheap"...so is the pump. The supporting accessories are where they "hook" you. The first COOKIES are cheap...the MILK gets expensive in the long run... Consider This.
