Title: Parts for a Powermaster 66.....
Post by: same_me on July 12, 2011, 10:27:55 AM
How's it going guys. I guess I'll start with an introduction. Have recently gotten into air guns again. Haven't fooled with them since I was a kid. Been playing with Glocks and 1911's since I've been older. Bought four air guns off craigslist this weekend. Anyway. I have my Crosman Powermaster 66 from when I was a kid. It has been rode hard and hung up wet. Still shoots good but im missing a couple parts for it. I'm having a real hard time finding parts for it. Crosman gave me a guy to contact and he will not return my emails. I emailed a guy here in Alabama that is on their website as a repair person and he wont return my emails. I'm looking for the forearm - 10062, the grip cap - 760Y004, grip cap spacer - 760Y005, and a screw 66-32. The screw is not a big deal but the other pieces I would really like to have. I'm trying to get it back in shape so that one day my little girl (due in October) can shoot it. Any help you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

Nobody? I emailed two more shops off the Crosman customer service page so we'll see how that goes. I also emailed Crosman for more suggestions.

Go to crosman.com and you can print out parts manual. I also have an old 66 and purchased new seals and such. When you call have the part numbers ready and all should be good!

I have already been in contact with Crosman. They no longer service the parts I need. They've gave me some people to call and I'm working with a place this morning to try and get the parts I need. Gonna cost me probably what it would cost to buy another used one but then it wouldn't be the one I grew up shooting.

I have a black forearm around here someplace for a 66. I bet if yours is an old one it needs a brown one though.
I put it up someplace where it wouldn't get lost and now I can't find it.  >:(

Yeah, I have one of those too. Made in 1988. Really sweet little shooter.

Good luck with your search.

www.jgairguns.biz (http://www.jgairguns.biz) has the parts on their site. I emailed them and verified that they were what I'm looking for. Gonna try and order them next week after pay day. Anybody had in experience with jgairguns?

Well. I got my parts to fix my Powermaster 66 from jgairguns today. Forearm was perfect and simple to install. I wasn't so lucky with the stock. I emailed jgairguns before ordering the stock and was told that it would come with the grip cap and the grip cap spacer installed. As usual, my luck, it did not. I have emailed them to see what we can do about getting me the grip cap and spacer since they did tell me that it would be on there. We'll see what happens......

Well, it's getting there!  :D

Try some Crosman Destroyers in it. Mine is super accurate with the WalMart Destroyer Ex pellets.

I'll have to get some of them. I got the receiver painted today and everything cleaned up on it.

Some of the ads I've seen for the newer ones say up to 680. I just wonder if that's close to what mine would have been new 25 years ago.

The older owners manuals say 600 - 625. I'd believe that more than 680.

Well. After all this time I've finally got this Powermaster 66 finished. I dissasembled it, painted the receiver, new forearm, new grip cap, cleaned everything up, and capped it off with a new Crosman scope. I'm excited to have it done and even run a few rounds through it tonight. Here's some pics.

Great Job... I need to do the same with my 766 and fix her up nice... I might order the parts next month because I ordered a couple of steel breeches for my 1377s this month.... Other than the grip cap and spacer issue, how was your experience with JGairguns? They are the only place that sell the old Crosman parts for my gun... Thanks....

I can't really say that I had a great experience with them but it was definetly not a bad experience with them. I would say that I would probably use them again. I just had to be patient.
