Hi all I originaly posted this in the German Gate and it was recommended that I try here so here I go
Hello All - At lunch yesterday an old friend of mine said hay I got a Beeman 200 I bought years ago ... Its supposed to be very rare you interested in it ?? .... Being new to air-gunning I had no idea and told him I would take a look and let him know. After some google searches I have found that it is rare but I cant find what its worth. I don't know the condition of it yet but I thought I would ask the experts ....
Thanks for your help
Kelly

The gun is a Diana model 35, of late 70's/early 80's vintage (there should be a date stamp in small characters on the left rear receiver). A very, very, nice all-round, mid-size springer rifle, very popular for decades in Europe.
The rifle itself is not rare, but those markings certainly are, Dr. Beeman only imported a hundred or so before he got away from Dianas in general. A 35 in really nice condition is about a $150 to $200 rifle IMHO, but others' opinions may vary.
If perchance it is still available, I might be interested in owning it.

Hi Mike and thanks for the reply ... Well as it turned out the old gent thinks he has a gold mine in his hands and truth be told therifle has seen better days .... MUCH better days ..... to the point that you would never be able to re-blue the gun without pits showing .... and he believes its worth quite a bit ... So I just said not thanks that I didnt have the time to work on it ...
Peace

Hi Kelly, you definitely made the right decision! It's been my experience that collectors of newer airguns are just not really interested in markings variations to the extent that firearms guys are. A "Beeman 200" won't re-sell for any more than any other nice Diana 35, and condition still counts! Better for Mr. Seller to hang on to his "treasure!"
