Now I've purchased a near-new RWS 54, with a really good Leupold scope for just $500!
I really wonder about the addiction of airguns. About 10 years ago, after much soul-searching, I literally gave most of my powder arsenal to my nephew. This after losing one of my really long-term shooting partners. Well.... Fast forward to a few months ago, and I added a 1377 to my old Chinese springer. It is a nondescript piece of wonder, but out to 15 yards, it is a tack holes. Well, the 1377 just couldn't be kept stock, so after shelling out twice what I paid for it to start with, is has all of the goodies. Now, it is good to about 20 yards, give or take. But I need something more. Then I buy a Umarex Octane, and realized I had made a mistake. You can hit the broad side of a barn with it, but only if you're inside! So then, I buy a NOS 397, and promptly spend even more cash on a trigger mod, scope, better stock, different valve, etc. Oh! This is great. It shoots 3/8" groups at 25 yards, and is a real dove getter. Oh but....Now I've purchased a near-new RWS 54, with a really good Leupold scope for just $500! Please! Tell me, where does all of this stop!
you woulda never bought any of those guns if you had yourself a vintage SHERIDAN blue streak
