My CFR. is tack driver accurate with the consistency of the gas ram. If you do get a gamo you should also get a CDT trigger.
I'm new to modern air guns but I thought I'd chime in. I have a Gamo Big Cat and find nothing wrong with it. Any short comings are because of my inexperience with it. I preped it and took it to the range for the first time Sun. 12 yards is the max distance. I had to break a lot of habits that were ingrained from shooting conventional firearms. I have a ways to go yet. I eventually got to where I could put some shots into a 1in sq. I am not concerned with tight groups at this stage. However,I was not consistent enough yet. Not all shots were in the sq but that is due to me and maybe the ammo. I'm sure if I handed this rifle to a more competent shooter of springers he would fair much better. Just my 2c.
I used to be a Gamo fan. Here is my history at 25 yards (best avg. groups):Gamo Big Cat 3/4" groups (stock)Gamo Varmint Hunter 3/8" groups (tuned)Gamo Hunter Sport 5/8" to 3/4" groups (tuned)Gamo Whisper Deluxe 3/8" groups (stock)Gamo Whisper Fusion 1/2" groups stock (stock-returning to Pyramyd Air this week)I will be moving to the "DARK SIDE" pretty soon.
Besides the CFX / CFR - what Gamo guns is the most accurate?
