I've recently sold my talonp pistol and I'm regretting it already
, i'm thinking about picking up a ruger charger with the money I got from selling my talonp but I doubt it's gonna have the same level of accuracy as the airgun, at longer ranges the 22lr is gonna be more accurate for sure, but within 50-60 yrds the talon could shoot the same hole over and over. I'm just wondering how much accuracy i'll be getting with the 22lr, considering it's shorter barrel and well, lower quality barrel(Lothar Walther vs Ruger).

The 10/22 platform is not overly accurate out of the box and I can't imagine the charger pistols are that great.
There are lots of mods for the platform though and everything can be improved, if you are looking for an out of the box shooter a semi auto ruger is not going to be your best bet.

Actually, I had an original Charger and, out of the box, it could do under an inch at 50 yards with a wide variety of ammo. I then modded it out, as most end up doing with the 1022 platform and, with a Kidd trigger kit and a Kid barrel, under half inch groups at 50 were easy. The Charger loses nothing in accuracy to the 1022 rifle. The best part of the Charger, though, was the fun. They are an absolute blast to shoot. Bring lots of ammo.

Please keep the discussion to air guns. We are not a powder gun forum.

Will you point us to the rule that says "no firearm talk in the back room area"?
Isn't the back room for discussing things that do not relate to airguns?
Why keep the discussion to airguns in the place that is for everything that is NOT airgun related?
This is not a political gun post nor is there any bickering going on here.
Maybe the OP prefers the knowledge base on this forum and would like to hear what we have to say rather than taking his discussion to a possibly less friendly place.
Just a few thoughts.

What I see more and more often on airguns is them out doing their powder burner brethren. Powder gets the nod for some wildly extended range if course, but under 100 yards some airguns turn out startling good groups.
I kno this bypasses the op content but just throwing up there.
