I really wanted another lever action after selling the Walther and was seriously considering a new Sumatra carbine... but these older target stocks really caught my attention and I made the mistake of posting a WTB on the Yellow, which resulted in closing a deal on this one within a day (note to self... no AG decisions when fermented beverages are involved - haha!!). This one is very unique as it has a custom thumbhole stock and what appears to be a custom lever that is either brass or bronze. I mention bronze after finding some old posts on the Yellow that talk about some bronze, one off levers getting made from a casting. The key difference from a normal target set-up is the very sharp downward angle, along with the knuckle contours.
I already made a few improvements as both air tube retaining rings were marred up and I found some replacement NOS parts on AA, along with a couple new mags. The LDC is a custom piece from Claque that is a direct screw on to the 10/1mm threaded barrel. The caveat with this design is no access to the fill port without removing it. Although no details were provided, the gun is supposedly tuned. No trigger time yet, but will hopefully get to test it out next week while I am on vacation.
I would definitely like to hear from anyone that knows more about these one-off levers and stock.

Congrats on your new gun. I have a similar model which I use to hunt hogs. It shoots 50gr.cast slugs at 850fps / 82fpe. Since I take it into the jungle, I painted the stock with bedliner paint.

Beautiful guns! I've been torn between a Sam Yang 909s, Evanix rs II .357 and the Sumatra Carbine. After seeing all these pics I think I'm leaning towards a Sumatra Carbine. Awesome guns everyone

Hey man, so it was you who picked up that Carbine off Henry K.!
He is a good guy and true to his word, if he said it's tuned it was. I was looking at that gun too, ended up taking his Ultra 9mm (Lou Ferrigno's old gun/aka the HULK
)
Anyways I inquired a bunch about the stock too on that gun. The guy he bought it off was clueless, it's a totally custom job though, the forearm is stock but the back piece was a kind of walnut burl used..But Henry knows his guns and said he was selling his Korean guns after buying a new DAQ...The Ultra I got was tuned by Mac1 and if he knew who tuned yours he would tell you, I'm sure, like I said he got it from a guy who had lots of cash, more than questions before buying i guess
Anyways just randomly noting when he first showed me that gun I thought of DaveG's work on a gun looked very similar....

I took advantage of Zak's offer and spent a couple hours shooting at his place this afternoon. The first gun out was the Career and after taking a couple mags to get the new scope dialed in, we both spent some time having some fun with this gun. We had a couple loading issues with JSB 25's and EunJin 43's as they both kept jamming when the gun was cocked. I finally tried Beeman Kodiak 31's and they cycled/shot great, but I am sure the other pellets issues are fixable.
The gun is definitely quirky as any power change resulted in a POI shift, but I am sure with more trigger time it would be easy to chart the shift. So we set the power in the middle setting and were both able to achieve tight groups at 30 yards. And found that once the pressure drops below 150 bar, the POI really starts drop. Think it was about 3 mags (21 pellets) when it is was time for a refill... Which by the way with his nitro set-up setting right next to us on the deck made me believer in bulk fill
Overall, this gun is a blast to shoot and with the Claque, the noise level is very tolerable. The lever action is smooth and the sharp downward angle of this custom set up is probably better than the normal carbine configuration. Trigger is smooth and balanced. Nothing much to NOT like as this is a great looking and fun to shoot gun!
And of course some chrony time... At full power on a fresh fill the 31gr kodiaks were shooting in the low 800s.
As a side bar, this was my first real shooting outside the yard with the FX. What a gun!!! Stupid accurate and darn near silent to shoot. I was easily hitting some hanging golf balls at 40 yards and could do this on every shot... Almost too easy!
I think Zak made a mistake having me over as he going to see me again real soon as his place is an Airgunners paradise!

That gun IS quite a unique shooter, I was bummed that neither one of us looked a little further into the pellet size adjustment while You were here, I'm sure once we found the sweet combo we could have tightened those groups up even more ... I was impressed enough that I'm negotiating for the other 707 we were talking about, if that says anything (although to be honest, I'm trying to work a deal on a Sumatra too so who knows where it'll all end up).
Did some "Recon" yesterday and I figure an afternoon with the chainsaw out in the pines as well as cutting back that cedar at the end of the deck should let me set up a 75yd shooting lane to the left of the 40 and still be able to use the rail as a bench - if I ever get back ahead of all these projects the range should eventually shape up quite nicely (I scored about 1000ft of burial wire yesterday so the "Night Lights" should be up and running sometime next week, then I *never* have to stop shooting if I don't want to, LOL)
OH - and don't ever bring that FX over here again, hahahaha - everytime I look on the AOA site now I'm thinking "Hmmm, maybe I don't *need* 3 golf carts"

You should hold off on any other 707 deals until we have another crack at getting this one dialed in as I doubt it will stick around. I already figured out how to make the pellet adjustments and waiting for some 35gr EunJin's to ship from PA as they are back ordered until 6/6. Everything I have read indicates bigger pellets (especially Eun Jin's) and full power is key to optimized groups, so I am really hoping that either those monster 43's that would not load or the 35's are the ticket!
Looking forward to checking out the range updates!

I finally had some time to pop off the receiver and try to adjust the pellet stop to accommodate some longer pellets, but found the stop already maxed out... Does this sound right? I assume you need some type of stop to keep the pellet from going in too far before getting slid into the breech, so this might just be inherent to this type of design.
I located some 35gr pellets after PA pushed out their in stock date, so I will know in a coupe days if these will fit.

Hey JTB530... I tried to respond to your PM about my source for the Career mags and retaining rings, but your inbox is full.
Back to the gun... After multiple attempts with adjusting the pellet stop, I was able to get the 35gr pellets to cycle properly. Now I just need do some testing to see if these are "the pellet" for this gun.

It's been a while but my pellet stop is removed or maxed out one. I have no problem feeding the cast .25 BSBT and 43gr EunJin.
