I'm going to make a new barrel band for my rainstorm with picatinny rails for a bipod and whatever else.
Who is interested so I can get an idea how many to make.

Cool Idea Tom,
Will you make them with just the rail on the bottom ?

I wouldn't mind two of them for my AA S410 actually
Would be able to use these for a bullpup mod!

I'd be interested. I'd prefer just a bottom rail also.

They won't work for bullpupping, the lower hole is only 25mm as it goes around the fill valve while the tube is 35mm. If you decide to make actual bullpup bands that fit around the air tube I'll take two of those.

Lower rail only would look like this. I'm not sure the sides rails have any value that far forward but on a bull pub maybe. Is the rail section long enough?
Chris, I have no idea about the AA. Sorry

I have a rail on the bottom of my second band on my 25 Challenger Double Tube.
It is only 1 slot and works great for attaching a scope ring with a red lensed flashlight clamped in it for night pesting.
Yours with 2 slots oughtta work great!

Great idea, count me in for one. Lower rail only. I have put these on two of my Marauders and it is the way to go.

Ok, I'm going to make two styles. One with a barrel band and one without. I will be a couple of weeks before I can get to them, be patient and good things will come

Question. I've got a CF shroud on mine from Will Piatt. Now, I seem to remember that the original barrel band fit the CF as well as the stock shroud. But, Manny made a post on another string saying that the CF shroud is larger in diameter. Anyone know about this? I may need to call Will to find out for sure.

Put a set of digital calipers on my CF shroud & it reads out at 25.21mm. So it's right at 1" diameter.

I have 10 barrel bands ready for anodize, they should be available sometime next week.
I designed this band primarily for a 1" diameter shroud. The Will P. CF shroud is reported to be 1" and so is the shroud I made for my 30 cal. The band will fit factory 25mm shrouds too but there will be and additional .008" clearance. The 25mm shroud uses a 2.5mm cross section o-ring and the 1" a 2mm. If I did the math correctly, with the respective o-ring, both shroud types should have a nice o-ring crush.
