Title: Trail NP XL 1100 breech lock up problem... HELP PLEASE!!!
Post by: hitemsquare on December 22, 2012, 02:15:26 PM
Okay so I have now put about 600-700 rounds through my XL and have just noticed today that the lock up when I close the barrel is very hard to close. Its nearly impossible sometimes and I have to slam it closed real hard. This can't be good. After having to do this the third time it was off to the pros for some much needed advice. Just got this thing settled down real nice and really don't want to return it.... please help me..... thanks in advance.

Try a drop or two of oil on the alive jam and let it seep down in the pocket and it should ease up.

This is my second trail because te first one had a lot of problems also  and I am very near returning it and geting a fully tunned xs26 from flyingdraggon if I can. Any other suggestions anyone?

will the barrel break open any ? if it will break open a little, check your forearm screws, if tightened in too far they will hit cocking arm and not let barrel open or close.

Have you removed the stock and checked the cocking arm that attaches to the piston?

I took my live jam out and polished it up and put a very little bit of moly grease i with the spring.  Now you can crack it opened with a very light tap.  Keep in mind that hydrolock can happen anywhere.  You could have too much oils in there cause pressure build up. I've seen oil trapped behind a bolt n a blind hole, that actually blew out the casting behind the hole cause the guy wrenching didn't notice that he was having to stand on the dam thing to get it to turn.  Hydrolock, not sure if spellt wright

That could be the problem.  I know it just started all at once.  Since I'm not so mechanically inclined I was forced to return it and since this is the second one I had problems with I have decided to hold out for a couple months and get an Mrod. I still belive in Benjamin... lol. Thanks for all the help guys and sorry for the late response. ......
