Hello guys, I purchased an evanix rainstorm a few years back and although it was accurate and powerful I ended up not shooting it as much as I would of liked to because it is very loud for backyard. I have the Canadian version with no shroud and no baffles. LOUD. Also the stock is very loose . There is only one anchor point, one screw that holds the stock to the receiver. I recently removed the stock completely to inspect and to my surprise the screw that holds the stock on was more than loose, it seems to be about one size too small . The stock is held on buy a thread. The screw is labeled YFS 012.9 I am not sure at this point if the screw is too small or the hole in the receiver was tapped too big. I am unable to find that type of screw at local hardware stores. Any thoughts? Thanks as always.

It would be a metric size just incase you did not check the metric screws.

Hi
Do you have a fastenal or Grainger or other type of industrial supply store or machine shop in your area?
If you do bring the screw to them and see if they can match it and provide you the next size and length up from your current size .
Hope this helps

Thanks for your replies guys, I live in a rural area with little options for metric screws. I forgot to mention that the screw fits into a brass tapered washer that seems correctly sized to the screw. For example if I went up one size screw it may not fit through the washer hence that's what makes me think the receiver maybe tapped too large. I have no way to check for sure as I believe I may need an m7 screw to try. I will email fastenal and check with them. Thanks as always.
