Welcome to GTA, it's very nice to have you with us Cleaning is easy.. use a piece of plastic weed whacker line as pull through. Cut one end of the line at a sharp angle so you can pierce a cleaning patch. Heat the other end of the line with a lighter and form a small ball.. which will serve to hold the patch on the line. The only cleaning solution you need is a product called "Goo Gone" which is available at any good hardware store or pharmacy chain store. Apply the Goo-Gone to a few patches and run them through the barrel, followed by dry patches. Do this until the patches come out clean. Don't ever use any metal cleaning rods or any powder burner solvents or cleaners of any kind,,, Goo Gone is all you need. Get yourself a good pellet sampler pack from straightshooters.com so you can find out what pellets your big cat likes. here's the link......http://www.straightshooters.com/straightshooters/sssampler.htmlThat info should get you started. I'm sure other members will chime in , say hello and give you a ton more information. Again, welcome and I'll be looking forward to your future posts.....Jeff
