I'm going to up the setpoint on the reg, but I wanted to get an idea of your stack settings before I tear into it: I hand-pump, so I'd like to do this as FEW times as possible... haha
I installed the reg on my 12"-barreled Talon SS, this morning. I ordered reg at 2000, to see how it would perform, comparing what I mapped to what it's doing with a smaller volume of air behind it all. I was OK with somewhat lower velocities in exchange for shot-count, but it was lower than I expected.
I know things aren't necessarily in direct relationships, etc. but in stock form, the gun was around 720fps with 18's at 2000 (top of the curve was 780fps at 2550 psi). Ten minutes ago, with the reg and adapter, it gave me 667. (That's not an average, by the way... it gave me 5 shots right at 667, right off the bat. Stupid-consistent, and it's not even broken-in, yet). I definitely need to up it, as that won't deliver enough energy at range, where most of my targets live.
So, my question for you folks: How are your stacks set for 2400 or 2500 psi? I know it probably won't be exact, but I'd like to start there.
Thanks, in advance.
