air leak from under screw of gen 1 w/ gen 2 valve

here's an odd one, at least to me.
maybe someone out there has a quick/logically fix.
it's a gen 1 FDPCP with a gen 2 valve in it.
had it apart to clean and lube and put it back together. tried a few cock and shoot to adjust the trigger before putting the stock back on.
then noticed that there was air popping out from around/under the screw that holds the valve into the receiver, when i fire the gun.
pulled the valve out and changed the o-rings, noticed there wasn't one in the end where the stem
comes out so added a 006 and put it back together.
still puffing air out and blowing a paper towel off when i fire it.
the only thing else that i noticed is that the screw may be bottoming out in the valve and not completely seating against the receiver body.
any ideas, o wise ones!
thanks, bob

you can make a small washer out of pop bottle plastic to seal the screw or use an o-ring on the screw to seal it. The gen 2 rifles come with a seal. I sometimes use a 3mm by 1mm o-ring to seal it. The lost is small so it's not really needed but if you just gotta then those are options

thanks Mike,
your pop bottle washer fix sounds just perfect. the best solution is usually the simplest!
yeah, that one would always take more pumps to fill than my other FDPCP after 20 shots.
as always, thanks
