Just got a 1077 for some quiet English Starling elimination. As expected, velocity and accuracy drop off rapidly with rapid fire (the CO2 cylinder gets real cold). Can anyone tell me how long between shots must one wait to keep the accuracy up?

I have one as well. It depends on the ambient temp, I usually will wait for about 20 sec between shots. I hope this helps.

I think about the same. 20-30 seconds between shots. I hope your triggers on both the above posters are better than mine on my 1077. It not worthy, but I still can get some good groups.

I use Crosman Destroyer Ex pellets in my 1077. Very accurate and cheap at Wally.

Haven't tried the Destryers yet. My 1077 seems to like Crosman Premier hollow points, wadcutters, RWS Hobbys.

Thanks guys! My groupings would be great if they were at 100 yards instead of 10. I'm hoping for some improvement after a few hundred rounds. Yes, the trigger is pitiful, but I expected that, I really wanted something backyard stealthy and the 1077 looked like the best compromise. I bought a Crony about the same time to help figure out what's happening. The 1077 stays in the range 550-500 fps for about 24 shots but will push another dozen out the barrel with no hope of hitting anything. I appreciate the pellet hints and will try them out after it gets broken in.

I am getting around 24 accurate shots before the POI changes. This is the normal shot count for a CO2 cartridge

I am getting 48 good shots per co2.Gets good accuracy at ten yards. If you put a lighter trigger spring in and put some moly I a few places , the trigger gets a little better.

I always use a drop of Pellgunoil on each CO2 cartridge. I am getting 40? shots per CO2 can.

I installed a Delrin Barrel Stabilizer Bushing from HPA Sports, it gave me 1/2" groups at 10 yards with RWS Meisterkugeln wadcutters on my 1077. Easy to install, use a wood block and hammer to knock the front sight forward off the barrel, install the bushing and then the sight using the wood block and hammer. I try to wait 20-30 seconds between shots, hard to do when you don't have to load another pellet every shot. LOL.
