touch up paint?

Hi all, first post from a new member. Great site! I've been coming here for advice for a while so I figured I'd join. And I was wondering what kind of touch up paint there is that matches the 392 to fix all the dings in the stock paint. Thanks for any answers.

Flat black Rustoleum is what I use on the 392.

It matches the factory finish pretty good.

Thanks guys, sorry if it seems like a noob question, but I assume its not spray paint so how do you apply it so it doesn't run/drip?

Spray should work fine if you primer correctly first.

But if I spray paint it I'll have to toatally strip the gun down and repaint it all right?

No. I always take 320 wet dry paper DRY to the action and scuff it up and feather all the edges of the rubs, nicks and scratches. Tack rag to get all the debris you can't blow off. Then lay down several coats that are very light to the abused sections and let each coat dry between. When you get adequate coverage on all the parts that made you need to paint it then go back and do one light spray over the whole thing and it will look as good as any of the factory resprays look. Prep and patience is the only way painting can be rewarded with good results.
