I watched the video and could not help myself but do the .22 case mod. I cut one off coil as stated in the vid, in my case one coil was too much should have heeded your post rangerfredbob . I was able to stretch it out and make it work but I'll need to order another spring
Well, my original spring took flight as I was scrunching it. I'm sure it's in the shop somewhere? I went down to my Tru-Value and purchased a lighter replacement spring and added the .22 casing. It is much better than it was but I want it still lighter. Another day, another spring.... I'm also thinking trigger shoe.BTW, DO NOT remove the safety! It was an hours long beotch to replace that little ball and spring.
The first things I would do to the trigger before getting too excited about ripping stuff apart and taking hours polishing things is to simply remove one grip, remove the stock spring, squeeze the spring in pliers or your fingers until there is about 1/16" of preload when it's installed, install a .22LR casing and reassemble, see how you like it and adjust as necessary. A lot of people cut the spring which actually makes the spring rate higher, if you simply relieve some preload it gets you to the same point... give it a shot, if you want better than that you can polish as shown in the video or there are a huge list of other trigger mods to do...
I've been shooting the heck out of my 2240 for over a year now and loving every minute of it. The 2240 has made me proficient with my "big" handguns. Last week it seems everyone put the 1377C on sale.I found mine @ Academy for 40.00 and with the addition of a few tins of pellets the shipping was free.http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_10051_30843_-1__?N=30703992 FedEx should be delivering it today.Should be nice to have around if for no other reason to give my 2240 a much deserved break.
Looks like the sale is over.

I have tried to order from Walmart.com already but their e-commerce is horrendous. It throws an error when I am at the checkout saying that I haven't selected a store to ship to (when I have). Presumably this is because the item (Crosman 1377) is age-restricted (18+). I guess I could go to the actual store and have them order one, but they are at full retail price.daveb50 let me know about rlairgunsupply.com which sells 1377's for about $35. If worst comes to worst and Amazon doesn't get a shipment in soon, I'll just get one there.
Pair of 1377's just showed up on the FedEx truck!!Now to decide how to soup them up for my sons.....
Played with mine some more today. Filled the grips with silicone and made an aluminum trigger shoe. Diggin it. right when I got finished the FedEx guy showed up with my 2300S
