Any luck on the last PM Gene?
2 PMs sent and 2 emails sent to sales@airguntoys.com with no response.......... Whats the deal Gene?
Yann, the gun you have will probably determine which pivot washers you need. For the B19 platform (most Crosman break barrels) you need a washer approximately 0.062" thick, or about 1.6mm. From my reading the 8mm brass washer should fill the bill nicely and not even need the outer diameter reduced. Since I'm in the US, I go for a 5/16" brass washer, or better yet a bronze bearing. In the case of the bronze bearing I went with 3/8". It's not critical. The thickness will be correct but the outer diameter is too great. I put a bolt through my washers, tighten a nut onto it, and chuck it into an electric drill. While the drill is spinning I apply a file to the edge of the washers until they have been reduced in diameter sufficiently. It seems as though the final outside diameter is about 0.68" or about 17 mm. It must be small enough to fit within the recess in the barrel. Put moly on the moving side and you're done.If the screw tightens completely before you have adequate friction on the barrel you washers are too thin. Over time they may thin out anyhow. You may then shim them. Mine are shimmed at the moment with washers I made from a Coke can. The aluminum is about 0.004" or 0.1mm thick. It may take a bit of force to work the barrel back between the forks. Once in place all should be fine. Good luck!!
