XS-12 Got A Bug Buster!

Short story long, I was cleaning out my hobby room junk drawer earlier today... I fondly refer to it as the "grey-fuzzy-zone drawer", where many items that didn't work out for their original intended purpose end up forgotten in a semi-eternal slumber, in hopes of someday finding their place on a better suited project in the future.
Anyway, as I was nearing the bottom of the drawer I found a long forgotten Leapers UTG Bug Buster still new in its box. As luck would have it I also found a brand new in the box set of BKL single-strap rings! The hamster wheel in my head instantly started doing laps as I pondered to myself which of my springer's might do okay with such a setup... My "wife's" Mike Melick lube-tuned XS-12 seemed like the perfect candidate!
10 min. later I was out on the back porch for a test run with the newly mounted optic... 3 pellets worth of fine-tuning the turret adjustments and I was hitting bullseyes at 20 yards with consistency.
The short tube on this extra compact scope does not quite allow for ideal placement for correct eye relief (which is the exact reason I didn't use this scope for its original intended project years ago!)... but It is close enough to make work. It simply requires the shooter to scoot forward on the comb until you find a good view of the eye-box. It is doable. It would be just about perfect for shooters with a short LOP who have already trimmed an inch or three off the butt of the XS-12 stock. Size/weight-wise, I think the Bug Buster is a good fit for this petite little rifle!
I can hardly wait to see the look on our 7yo nephew's face next time he's over for a visit. The second thing out of his mouth after saying hi is almost always "Can we go outside and shoot the pellet rifles?"... the XS-12 is the only rifle I have that he can handle, and he has run many more pellets through it than my wife has by the way! Come to think of it, everyone who visits enjoys shooting the XS-12
While I was outside playing with it I snapped a few photos to share with you guys and gals

Pretty cool setup.
Just a thought, but could you move the scope back a little more if you removed the stop plate? You could keep the screw in there so there is still something for the mount to butt against.

Gotta love forgotten treasures.
I'm doing the same with my HW30, but trying offset 1pc mount for more rear adjustability.
