btw- Mac1 one now has compensators that are available for the FDPCP's (Mine was the guiena pig) , and it is working VERY well, at "collecting all the dust"
Talking about lubing. What should I use? I have read everywhere that the preferred lubricant for air rifles is moly grease or paste. I have already ordered Honda Moly 60 grease. It has 60% moly in it and other good stuff. As for anything that gets compressed I have read that pure silicon oil is the only way to go. Regular grease would be very dangerous to use as it has a tendency to explode under high pressures. Am I right?
If you get it back together and its still shooting so poor, then quick pull the hammer spring from your other FDPCP and see if that makes a difference. In my mind, your problem is either hammer drag, the hammer spring or the valve spring.
I have already put the rifle together. I just didn't lube anything yet. I will wait until I get the Honda moly 60 grease then I will take it apart and lube everything.I don't know if this means anything but I found metal dust inside. It's as if something was grinding against something else. Not a whole lot of this but very noticeable.
