Just finished rebuilding/tuning my 2007 Big Cat. I used CDT's guide. Made my own custom spring compressor. Ill post pics tomorrow. I still need a trigger from CDT but for now I polished up the old one. Not bad for now. I used JM's kit, spring, seal, moly and tar. Was way easier than I expected, but more time consuming and messy. Lol! The first shot I got a little detonation but after that it was smooth. Like butter smooth. And I can tell a huge difference in how hard the pellets are hitting my trap. Can't wait to go whack a few tree rats. Thanks Bob for the great write up.

That's great news Ronald. I have been doing the same lately with all my rifles. Followed CDT's instructions, got the JM lubes, etc. Very educational and really makes a difference. The manufacturers leave plenty of "opportunity" for the home tuner!
Let us know how that Big Cat treats you.

Couldn't agree more. I don't mind the quality or lack there of. It keeps the initial cost down and allows you to improve later. By Big Cat has served me well until recently. She's killed a lot of critters in her day. Now she's been reborn.

Congrats, the first time is the hardest. Glad you're getting good results out of her.

I learned a lot about springers. My POI has been wandering lately. Now I know why. My scope stop pin on my one piece mount was almost sheered off. It did last about five years. I learned that Gamo uses trained monkeys to assemble their guns. And that they randomly decide where they want to put loctite.

Glad to hear your success Bently! I polished triggers for a few years until I found out about these things called "Golden Trigger".
I bought one GRTIII, and immediately saw the improvement over my efforts. Also got the invite to GTA. Long story short. It's well worth it. Congrats on a happy shooter Bud!
