Are you saying that you're getting pellets jammed in the barrel? If so, and it doesn't have enough oomph to pierce a plastic bottle 10 yds away, I'd check it with a chrony if at all possible. Sounds like you got a weak one.
Send it back, where did you get it from?
I am not sure what you mean by jamming. However, sounds like either a bad seal or bad nitrogen piston. Send it to Crosman and they will make it all better.
I heard from Mike Melick and others that the Benji Disc pellets are under sized. MM warned me not to shoot them in my custom B-25 when he sends it to me. That's OK. All that I shoot are JSB's and Crow Mags. The cheap stuff is too inconsistent for me. I don't shoot cheap russian ammo out of my custom 223 varmint gun either.
Here's a quick test of the breech seal. Get a single ply of tissue and sit it on top of the breech, then shoot the gun (with a pellet in the barrel, of course). If the tissue puffs up, you have a bad breech seal. If not, there is something radically wrong with the gun (i.e. - piston seal shot). Is the shot cycle really harsh at the finish? Even an undersized pellet should clear the bore.As to pellets bouncing off of soda bottles, they might, even with full power. Those bottles are designed to be very resilient.
Mine shoots through 1/2" plywood and has gone through 3/4" pine.....makes me want to see if a 2 liter bottle gives me trouble..hmm!Jason
My Trail blows right through them at 10 yds. At 20, I can pour out the water and recover the pellet. Kind of a fun way to test pellet expansion.
Problem is either the piston seal or nitro ram....and a very rare chance that it might be the breech seal. If the breech seal leaks the air should still be able to push the pellet out of the barrel.Had that happen with my Hammerli Titan...I would get a "Bang" when I squeezed the trigger but the pellet remained inside the breech...didn't even move a millimeter. Turned out to be a very defective piston seal...It was a display model and I think more than a few customers or even the owner/salesmen dry-fired it.Btw...my .177 Hammerli Titan (A springer) shoots pellet right through 2 liter plastic softdrink bottles at 20+ yards.
