Nice! I'll see how it shoots when it gets here? then I'll have a better idea of what to do, if anything? Saved the link for later. Still mentions welsh willy kit?
" As long as it lasts" is my primary concern.
I've decided to sell the brand new Winchester 1400CS I've never shot yet. It'd be hard at my age carrying a 9lb plus gun around all day. Anyway, I found this refurbished on amazon a lil bit ago. Last one they had left too. .22 caliber, upgraded Monte Carlo walnut stock. checkering as well, a beautiful, albeit lighter gun. 6.4 pounds minus scope, about 7lbs with, versus 9+ for the Winchester with scope. The Hatsan striker 1000x (combo plus by seller)...Cost me all of $119.47 including shipping!800FPS muzzle velocity is about 200FPS more than my Crosman 160. So both of'em will be using the same ammo. Plus they both have those gorgeous wood stocks. This one in Turkish Walnut. So this is my 2nd gun with factory stock upgrade. And one commenter mentioned he didn't think it was a good deal/gun for $500!? Perhaps that was new price? Idk...I doubt it.

Congrats! If you do tear it down for inspection, I'd have a spare seal available and deburr before reassembling. In any case week spots on Hatsan's include transfer port drilling and burrs in the chamber side, (as stated) oversized bores, off center scope rails, oversized or poorly bored locking pin hole, damaged piston seals that show up after a few hundred to 500+ rounds, stripped screw threads, and also as stated, the scope is best left off, sold, or used on a pumper. Some get returned for good reason, many are just fine - but I would not expect that if it had anything wrong with it that the seller did much more than wipe it down before calling it refurbished, as I've been reading for well over a year the trials and tribulations of new owners of Hatsan's budget-priced lines and one common thread is about 50% fallout regardless of new or refurbished status. The model 95's are an exception, perhaps only 20-25% fallout, but I suspect that was because they were the last to get the gas rams (not sure about the rams, but am sure of the fallout rates)?Looks like you landed a winner!
Oversize section? Barrel you mean?
