Medium Power Springers Options

Hi Folks,
I’m relatively new to GTA. So far I have just been getting the information I need from previous listings in the forum. This is my first post. My question is in regards to medium power springer’s. At this time I have a RWS 36 and a Gamo CFX Both require 35 lbs. or more cocking effort. Due to recent medical issues I don’t have the upper body strength I once did. I ‘m looking for a springer with 25 lbs. CE or less. The rifle will be used for 10 meter indoor shooting, so high power is not required and a $1000.00 competition rifle is out too. I’ve looked at the Stoger X5 and a few others, but I think they will be too small for me; I’m 6’2” so a full size rifle is needed.
There were also a few CO2 rifles that looked interesting, but pricey. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

If you are just shooting 10m some of the single stroke pneumatics are only about 25 lbs cocking effort. A lot of accuracy at a reasonable price.

24lbs cocking effort is for the OLD 50. The new 50S is close to 30+. If you got one you could install JM's indoor kit which would greatly reduce the effort needed to cock it.

You could try his OS kit in your 36 which takes less effort.

I have one and it is much easier than the GRT.
You can send Jim an email and ask him if he can make a softer kit for you. Cheaper than a new gun.

I bet Mike Melnick can come up with something for you too. I've never read anything negative about his work.

Thanks for the info, I was looking at that model. Are they worth the $60.00 or so bucks? Looked like they were not well made.

Slim,
First: Welcome to our Addiction.......
Second: detuning one or both of your other guns would be fairly easy to do and there are plenty of people on here to help send you in the correct direction...
