.25Cal Rex Pistol Pics <<<UPDATE>>>

The pistol came today. First impressions are good. Packaging was excellent. . The pistol is all metal/aluminum except for the grip and plastic end tank cap. Not to heavy and has a quality appearance and feel to it.
The first thing I did was cleaned the barrel with goo gone. (which was pretty clean to start with) Took the side plates off and lubed all moving trigger and safety pieces. Made adjustments to the trigger as well. Cleaned the gun with blistol and lubed all moving parts as well.
Shot several pellets just to hear and feel the gun. Will be doing some chrony shots when the sun comes back. (probably Sunday
)
The gun is loud which really does not bother me. I'll be using this weapon mainly for coyote and coon dispatch on the trap line. Should be a perfect weapon for the task.
Overall..so far I'm happy.
I'll do some tinkering with it and if needed, I'll be sending to Travis at WAR for a tune up.

Received the scope today. It's a Smith+Wesson 2x22, Made in Japan. From what I've read, S+W had them made in the mid 80's. Very nice quality all around. The eye relief is great! I'm 6' with a long reach. I'm guessing 20" fully extended. The view is great.
I'm looking forward to some shooting as soon as the rain leaves the east coast.

Good looking pistol indeed! Did anyone find out if you could get a larger air tube for the pistol?

Yes, I talked to Boris at PA. He said they are not available yet. Several months down the road. All tubes are the same.

Took the Rex out for some shooting today. Here's some Chrony results.
220 Bar Fill, 25gr JSB
1-807 1-806
2-790 2-798
3-781 3-789
4-770 4-776
5-752 5-757
6-737 6-747
7-722 7-741
8-716 8-716
Target range was 30ft. Wind was 9-12 mph. With a 2x power scope.
I'm probably going with a 4x Crossbow scope next. 2x things are pretty small.
The trigger on these pistiols need some serious work. I got spoiled with the Flex trigger
So far, I'm happy. Once I get some calmer conditions, change the scope and try and do something with the trigger, I'll go to 25yds.
This is an 8 shot group.

that pistol isn't messing around, strong numbers from a short barrel and limited air storage.

Had the P-Rex out this morning with a new AIM 2-7x42 scope. Shooting at 30ft again. I'm still not happy with the trigger. I'm going to try and tweak it some more.

If this gun were available when I was buying guns for my technicians to dispatch animals we trap this is what I would have bought. Very small and not noticeable when you walk into a customers yard for the neighbors to notice. Would like to hear the results of how you like it for a dispatch tool...

I'm sure it will drop any coon or Yodel dog dead in his tracks. May have to find a Guppy tank for on the varmint trail.
