I might just do that... This only happened about two or three weeks ago...
If I tip the scope on it objective end and the lens falls back into place, all looks good. If I sit it on the opposite end then look through it, all is blurry... You can hear that lens rattling on the threads as it moves back and forth...
Yeah, time to contact them...

Gunner -- you might try contacting Hawke about their guarantee! You might just get that replaced.
AirScopes,,
Hey thanks for that short boot up the backside... I was willing to boil this one down to experience and just let it sit there and gather dust, but, I sat down at the computer, went through my bank accounts and traced down the invoice number and date that I bought the scope. I then got out all my invoices and receipts (which, for now obvious reasons I NEVER throw out) and found the receipt/invoice. I then phoned the shop and they said to "drop it back in and we will take care of it" and "YES it is covered by Hawke warranty"... Of course, there's always a trade-off, isn't there?? The shop is about 30 miles away... I was just passing it by one day and dropped in and decided to buy a new scope. That was 18 months and 5 days ago...
Cheers for the nudge, I should have just done it 3 weeks ago when it all happened...

Hi all from greece
I have just purchased a hammerli hunter force 1000.Obviously another variation of AR1000 from umarex.Installed a 3-9x50 leapers on it.Didnt have much time to shoot but the general impression of finish from the specific model so far is good.

Amazingly good looking rifle for what little you pay, isn't it..?? I have a Leapers 4-16x50 AO but decided to put in on my Cometa Fusion instead as it's a long scope and needs a higher mount. I tried it on the AR1000 but it just doesn't suit that rifle or me. I bought a new Nikko Stirling 4-12x42 AirKing and stuck that on instead... Looks good and feel great when you bring it up to your cheek now...
The AR1000 is the cheapest air rifle I have bought and yet it makes me feel I got a real good buy and looks as good as any of the others which cost up or over 3 times the price... I'm chuffed (happy) about mine...

Took busted Hawke scope back to the shop. Told him of the loose objective lens, he put his finger on the lens, it moved, he said "Yep - Leave it with me", I wrote down my name and phone number on his card, smiled and said thanks, and walked out. He says I'll most likely get a phonecall in the next few days. Great...!!!

Almost forgot about the scope. Decided to phone the gun shop, do so just now and the guy said a replacement arrived just before knock-off time lastnight, and he was going to phone me in a few moments. Thought if I didn't phone him now, I might forget about it 'til maybe new year some time, as this time of year can be awfully hurry, hurry, hurry and dizzy heads - too much shopping and sometimes too much celebrating - hickup..!!!
Airscopes, you were right to kick my butt into action... Cheers...!!!

Hello from Bulgaria. I just both two AR 1000 in. 177. On sale 122BGN which is about 70USD. Pretty good bang for the buck. Haven’t had much time to test them, only few shots from 10-12 yards, but so far I am quite happy with the purchase.
